When your John Deere starts showing signs of low oil pressure or you’re hearing those knocks and rattles that make your stomach drop, a failing oil pump is often the culprit. This complete oil pump assembly is the heart of your engine’s lubrication system, circulating oil to keep bearings, pistons, and other critical parts protected from the kind of damage that turns a reliable tractor into scrap metal.
What You’re Getting
- Complete pump assembly with 2-inch gears – no need to transfer parts from your old pump
- Housing marked R54629 for positive identification and proper fit
- TISCO quality construction that handles the demands of farm work
- Direct replacement design that bolts right in place of your original pump
- Built to restore proper oil pressure and protect expensive engine internals
Built for Real Farm Work
This pump powers the lubrication system in John Deere’s reliable 300 Series diesel engines – the workhorses you’ll find in everything from mid-size utility tractors to heavy combines and cotton pickers. Whether you’re running a 2640 through hay season, operating a 4420 combine during harvest, or depending on a 6600 for daily operations, this pump ensures your engine gets the oil circulation it needs to survive those long, demanding days.
Made to Last
Farm engines work hard in dusty, demanding conditions where oil contamination and extreme loads are just part of the job. This pump assembly is engineered to handle the pressure and flow requirements of diesel engines that regularly operate at full load. The durable construction and quality internal components deliver reliable oil circulation season after season.
Installation Notes
Drain the oil completely before starting and inspect the oil pickup screen while you’re in there – a clogged screen can starve even a new pump. Use a new gasket and torque to specification – proper sealing prevents air leaks that reduce pump efficiency. Prime the system by turning the engine over with the starter (plugs or injectors disconnected) until you see oil pressure before the first start.
