The Gränsfors Double Bit Throwing Axe is based on North American working axes. Both edges are identical – 16cm (~6-1/4″) long. The throwing axe has a 75 cm (~29-1/2″) straight American hickory handle for smooth release when throwing. The center of gravity and handle are carefully positioned so that the axe rotates well in flight. The dimensions and design of the axe comply with the rules for axe throwing. Overall weight is 2.1 kg (~4.2 lb).
The head weighs about 1.4 kg (~3 lb). It is the same head as on the Double Bit Felling Axe.
The axe includes a sheath for each edge.
