Near Mint Set Of 13 Irwin Auger Bits Set In Original Box.
Complete Set of IRWIN Auger Bits in Original Box. This set includes auger bits ranging from 1/4″ to 1″, all in excellent condition and ready for use. Designed with coarse screws for quicker cuts, particularly in green and softer woods, this set is built for efficiency.
A bit of history from the Irwin website: In 1884, Charles IRWIN, a pharmacist in Martinsville, Ohio, acquired the rights to a solid center auger bit invention from a local blacksmith. After patenting the design, IRWIN partnered with four others in 1885 to establish the IRWIN Auger Bit Co.
The sizes in this set range from 1/4 inch to 1 inch, featuring high-quality lead points. Most of these bits appear to be unused, making it a superb find for collectors or professionals.
