Our cast aluminum ladder steps let you achieve a vintage turn-of-the-century look for your library ladder. Durable black finish is a good match for our Rolling Library Ladder Hardware Kit (42285, sold separately). The 7-pack of steps is enough to build an 8′ ladder. If you need a taller ladder, purchase one step (49388) for each additional foot in height. Cut your own ladder rails from the wood species of your choice, or purchase pre-machined ladder rails in 8′, 9′ or 10′ lengths, in three wood species (e.g. 43720, sold separately).
