Stanley No. 40 Scrub Plane – 100% Complete & Ready for Work
With Partial Handle Label – A Rugged Classic for Heavy Stock Removal
This is a fully intact Stanley No. 40 Scrub Plane, designed for aggressive stock removal and rough surfacing. Known for its open throat and deeply curved iron, the No. 40 excels at hogging down rough lumber quickly and efficiently—making it a favorite among traditional woodworkers and restoration specialists.
This example is 100% complete, with all original components present and functional. It retains a partial handle label, a subtle but charming nod to its authenticity and vintage character. The iron is sharp, the sole is clean, and it’s ready to go straight to work.
