Carpenters, woodworkers and DIYers alike will appreciate the many unique features of this adjustable square. Its sliding head can be positioned and locked anywhere along the 8” anodized aluminum ruler. With the head placed on the end of the ruler, the tool becomes a try square. Or slide the head elsewhere on the ruler to create a double square. The red portion of the head also unlocks and opens to any angled setting up to 45°, expanding the tool’s function to a bevel gauge. This angled fence has a built-in stabilizer along the edge, so you can rest the side of the head against the edge of a workpiece without the head tipping down and out of position.
The ruler features Swan Tool Group’s Tru-Mark Precision Marking Technology: both long edges on one side have a tiny rabbet that offsets the tip of your pencil when drawing a line. It lets you hold the ruler’s edge precisely where the line needs to be drawn without having to shift it slightly off the mark to account for the lead’s thickness. That minimizes the chance for parallax errors when measuring and marking parts. In the same way, a pencil saddle indentation on one end positions the tip of your pencil lead exactly at the ruler’s edge for accurate line placement.
