While the Pro-Trac looks like a conventional protractor, its black and red layers unlock and pivot past each other on a trunnion-style slide to reveal two stacked protractors with unique capabilities. In the closed position, the tool is useful for measuring and marking angles up to 90°. Or rotate the layers to find and mark angles up to 140°. With the red protractor oriented 90° to the black protractor, Pro-Trac becomes a center finder for dowels to up 1-1/4” in diameter and smaller square stock. A line of evenly spaced holes on the red layer reveals the tool’s fourth use as a line-drawing tool. The holes fit Pica-Dry Automatic or similar mechanical pencils for drawing straight, consistently spaced lines when Pro-Trac is slid along a workpiece edge.
